Bring the distinctive aroma and nutty flavour of sesame to your everyday home cooking. Our black sesame oil is prepared from naturally grown sesame seeds using a bull-driven, cold-pressing method. It is unrefined and is not chemically treated during processing. Mix a little with idli podi or use it to temper spices for a comforting homemade dal.

Colour, aroma, consistency and thickness may vary between batches and change over time. A uniform appearance, aroma or thickness cannot be guaranteed throughout storage. These variations alone do not necessarily indicate spoilage.

Natural Sediment

Some natural sediment may settle at the bottom because the oil is unrefined. Sediment alone is not proof of purity and should not be confused with mould or contamination. Do not use oil that smells rancid or appears contaminated.

Storage

Keep the bottle tightly closed in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture. Use clean, dry utensils or pour directly to avoid introducing water into the bottle. Follow the best-before date and storage instructions on the label.

Product Concerns

If you notice an unexpected bitter taste during normal use, a rancid smell, leakage or a damaged seal, stop using the oil and contact us with your order number and clear photos of the bottle and packaging so we can review the issue. Do not taste oil you suspect is spoiled.
