Apart from making pickles during summer time, making vadiyalu/vadams/vadis and papads to stock up for the entire year was another big process that would take place in India.

Cut Ash Gourd is mixed with Urad Daal Batter, Green Chilly Paste, Asafoetida/Hing and Salt. In biscut size, they are dried in Sun Light till they become hard. You just need to dry it in oil to consume it. It will be very tasty, you can eat with rice, sambar or directly also.
